2012 Bill Changes
Below please find a short breakdown of changes approved by the Oklahoma Funeral Board at December 8, 2011 Board meeting regarding legislation for 2012 1. Regarding the Funeral Director Education: Further define what the course of study would include and by whom it would be accredited. 2. Regarding the Funeral Director Apprenticeship: Lower the number of cases during the apprenticeship and add that memorial services would be counted. 3. Regarding the Funeral Director Exam: Further defined where the exam would be purchased from. 4. Regarding FDIC: Delete the bachelor’s degree requirement from the Funeral Director in Charge (FDIC) requirements. 5. Regarding FDIC: Gave the funeral homes time to comply with the new Law regarding FDIC changes. 6. Regarding Mortuary Assistant: Further define who can make a 1st call 7. Further Changes: Clean up language
